A nervous Becky and Steve talked about their upcoming adoption panel meeting. Becky felt everything was riding on the day. As Nick and Natasha moved into their flat together, Natasha seemed uncomfortable with his fatherly attention.

Outside the adoption panel, Becky nabbed a cigarette from another woman – little did she know she was an education professional, who would be sitting in on the panel – and Becky had claimed not to smoke in her application!

At the salon, Natasha continued to navigate around everyone’s belief that she was pregnant. Then, when she bumped into Fiz at the cafe later, she learnt about Fiz’s food cravings, and realised she would have to add this to her repertoire too.

An anxious Becky found her bluff was called, when she was questioned if she still smoked. Afterwards she confessed to Steve and he tried to reassure her.

Called back to hear the verdict, Becky stood up and said, “What I did was wrong, I know that, it was a stupid mistake.”

But, would it prove to be a very costly one for the McDonalds?

Steve and Becky’s hopes were dashed when the panel revealed their adoption application had been turned down. Outside, one of the panel revealed that some of their references had gone against them.
Becky thought this meant Tracy, but they were shocked to find out that it was down to Kylie, her half-sister, who she’d not seen for years.

Although Steve tried to comfort her, Becky felt they’d been judged; “Not fit to be trusted
with children.”

At the Rover, Fiz was confused when Nick told her of Natasha’s food hates and cravings – as they seemed to be exactly the same as hers! Natasha tried to cover this up, and then claimed to be very frisky.

Back at their respective homes, Fiz questioned John about her lack of passion and just feeling knackered, whilst Natasha tried to get Nick into bed.

Elsewhere, Dev and Sunita had a shock when Aadi almost ran into the road and Dev had to grab him to safety.

As the emotional day drew to a close, the McDonald’s tried to come to terms with their rejection and pull together once more, but would they have more trouble with Kylie?
