A haard one to answer, lots of factors. Initially, we discussed co-parnting with lesbain friends, but in reality they wanted sperm, or at best, distant uncles. Then we decided to move to Florida and adopt in the mid-1990s, but had our hopes dashed when they banned LGB adoption. We also played with the idea of surrogacy, but ruled it out on many grounds, legal, moral and financial.
WE were living in the UK when the law changed, allowing couples jointly adopt and were considering it, when we seemed to bump into more and more ‘same-sex’ couples parenting and it seemed doable…so we applied to be assessed in April 2008…
